College visit dates

 

If any junior or senior would like to visit with a representative from a university or college, please let Ms. Bergeson know and she will set up a Zoom meeting for you.

Ø  Seniors, Senior Parents, and Family Members,

o   It's not too early to begin planning to honor your student/friend/sibling/classmates by purchasing a recognition ad in the 2021 Hisodak. E-mail your text (and an image if desired) to Mrs. Bast (amanda.bast@k12.sd.us) and the yearbook students will create an ad celebrating Senior achievement. Cost for ads is $45 for 1/8 page and $90 for 1/4 page. Space for these ads is limited to two pages in the Hisodak, so order early!

Ø  Requirements and recommendations for home VB on 11/3.

o   Requirements

§  Mask WILL be required to be worn by all fans and workers, and WILL NOT be provided.

§  Food, water or concessions WILL NOT be allowed in the main arena.

·         The concession stand will be in the WEST WING where mask are not required so people can eat/drink.

·         Officials, workers, coaches and players can have water.

Ø  This week is Red Ribbon Drug Prevention Week!  This year’s theme is “Stand Out * Be Different * Make Change”.  You can participate in RRW and show your commitment to DRUG-FREE LIVES by doing the following:

o   PARTICIPATE IN DRESS UP DAYS

§  Friday “Drugs are Scary” – Wear Halloween Costumes (NO Costume Masks)

o   SEARCH FOR RED RIBBONS HIDDEN IN THE SCHOOL EACH DAY TO WIN PRIZES

o   PLEDGE TO BE DRUG FREE BY WEARING A STICKER ON WEDNESDAY

Ø  Plan to attend the FALL FESTIVAL on Friday, October 30 from 4:30-6:30 in downtown Highmore (Planned by FCCLA, HACOTA & C&C) You can CHECK IN at the FCCLA Table in Memorial Park (The park across from the grocery store) run by FCCLA Members where we will hand out Halloween bags, including a “map” of participating businesses/organizations and C&C members who will be handing out candy/treats/etc. SAY BOO TO HUNGER by bringing a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the Hyde County Food Pantry.  There will also be a FREE WILL DONATION Supper by the Power of Hope Committee with all proceeds going to STEPS FOR HOPE. 

Ø  If anyone is missing a set of earbuds, please see Ms. Bergeson to identify and claim.

Ø  JUNIIORS! Miss Beastrom will need 4 workers for VB on 11/3. Go see her when you can.
