Snow Day Make Up

Monday, April 16, 2018
Greetings everyone! I think it is safe to assume that all of us are tired of winter, but unfortunately we have not gotten out of its grasp just yet. One practice that was implemented last year is that we as a district would accept three snow cancellations during the school year and choose not to make any of those days up. On Friday, April 13 we had our fourth snow cancellation, which means we need to begin making up some of the time we have missed. Rather than make our students return to school the week after we are scheduled to break for summer, we are going to add an hour to the next four Fridays. Instead of getting out at the regular time, school will dismiss at 3:20 for the elementary and 3:24 for the junior high and high school on the following dates:

• Friday, April 20
• Friday, April 27
• Friday, May 4
• Friday, May 11

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the success of our students is directly related to the amount of time they spend in school. Hopefully this will be the end of our snow days and spring will finally arrive! If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Quinton Cermak, Superintendent/7-12 Principal
