School Is Rapidly Approaching

Friday, July 31, 2015

It is August 1st tomorrow already...where has the summer gone? We are only two and one-half weeks away from students returning to school. There are many things happening before the start of school.

August 3--Parent/Athlete Meeting 8:00 PM Community members are encouraged to come because we need to share information about our football program.

August 13--First Practices for JH FB, JH VB, HS FB and HS VB

Student Registration for Grades 7-12 1:00-4:00 PM

August 14--Student Registration for Grades 7-12 1:00-4:00 PM

August 17--Teacher In-Service

First Practice for Cross Country Athletes

School Open House 5:30-6:30 at School Gymnasium

August 18--Teacher In-Service

August 19--First Day of School for Students

September 4-7 No School for Labor Day Weekend

With only 2.5 weeks before the start of school it is important to start getting your children back to a school type schedule. Getting children to bed early in the summer can be difficult for some, and getting them up at school time maybe more difficult. But getting students on a school sleeping schedule is important so we can get them ready to learn.

You will be receiving a letter from the school that will also include Free and Reduced Lunch/Breakfast Program application. You are encouraged to send them in as soon as possible, so we can get them approved and into the system as efficiently as possible.

I am excited for the start of the new year. Have a fantastic finish to your summer!
