Bullying/Cyberbullying Presentation Set for Students, Staff, Parents, and Community 11/09/15

An educational program that targets a wide group of individuals, including students, staff, teachers, and staff operating within the school environment, and parents and the greater community operating outside the school environment.

Terry Stulken (a former teacher, administrator, Athletic Director, and coach) and Byron Utter (former teacher, Athletic Director, and coach) will provide training to school staff, educate students regarding bullying, cyberbullying and its dangers, and addresses the community to raise awareness of bullying. Stulken says, "It is important to educate and engage all of the groups involved with bullying activities, including bullies, victims, peer onlookers, and adults."

The presenters will discuss the verbal and nonverbal, direct, indirect, physical and emotional expressions of bullying, the legal ramifications of these behaviors, and technological (sexting, cyberbullying) and other vehicles of these behaviors.

The presentation for students will take place during school on November 9, 2015. That day is a shortened day for a scheduled teacher in-service day. The staff and teachers will then be provided training in the afternoon, with a presentation for parents and the community scheduled for 7:00 PM. All are welcome, and encouraged to attend this presentation.
